GREAT: 'Bad Girl' was a 10+

Now what is all the fuss about here. You have a popcorn movie, or a lazy day movie, and add to it a girl who is such a hottie that she could burn my eyes out of their sockets. Yet I hear nothing of her or her role (which, incidentally was played to the hilt). I mean, ask yourself "was she believable as a born seductress/succubus?" If you say not, well, then you're a woman and that's OK. In that case I understand the ratings for this movie. But she carried whoever wasn't right, or whatever was lame, in this plot.
I know I know, my tastes aren't in the realm of most of the award winning movies. I did love "The Green Mile" though, and a lot of good flicks (not the "Out of Africa" kind of thing). But I know a GREAT B movie when I see one (and this girl pushed this one WAY over the worthwhile mark. I was, at first, expecting it to be a soft porn flick. Those are trash, but this chick carried a very watchable movie IMHO

I absolutely agree with you. I saw this last night, and I was expecting to see a softcore flick with no story and alot of sex scenes. "Bad Girl Island" turned out to be nothing of the kind. There is almost no sex in it. what we get instead is a very strange, but compelling story that is very unexpected. And yes, the lead girl was magnificent; she was evil and seductive and fascinating to watch. I kept noticing her striking resemblance to a young Charlize Theron! This actress, along with the charasmatic Antonio Sabato Jr. manage to accomplish the unthinkable; they have created a genuine erotic film that has no nudity or graphic sex! Anyone looking for cheap thrills will be dissapointed.

Just watched this with my husband. Despite the potential overtones of the name, I was expecting this to be a mystical island thriller. So pretty much what it was, only with better acting (or at least less over acting on the part of our hero and his wife). It somehow came off as not quite dark enough in tone; the tension felt more super grouchy than anything scary. Still, I guess it was all right.

To be fair to those who thought it sucked, there were several times when we made fun of the movie by inserting "bow chicka wow wow" (and other suitable 70s base lines) into scenes that could have made it a porno. This only applies only to the first half of the movie though, once they added in the Haitian boat storyline the whole porn angle was a no go.

I am a 28 year old woman and I totally agree! I really enjoyed watching it and think AnnaLynn is smoking hot, much prettier than most the actresses that frequent our screens and would love to see her in more big-budget movies. She is very alluring on Nip Tuck and did a great job in Excision. Probably wouldn't have watched it if it didn't have her in.

I was waiting for very bad script, very bad acting, very bad movie. But this was actually well written. As it came closer to the ending, I was already "casting". If Hollywood would make this, who would play who.

Way better than 3,5/10.
