Salt Water...

Ok was it me or did anyone else think about the Old Man Vampire that they chopped the head off and kicked in the ocean, when the group was sitting around the bonfire talking about how Salt Water can replace blood? It could have been an interesting twist that maybe the head vampire wasnt Shane, but the old man and he wasnt really dead just foating at the bottom of the ocean in salt water. Yes I know this would defeat the whole Vampire needs blood thing, but honestly the whole salt water conversation was to random otherwise
