the Emersons

The Corey Haim character from the first movie, and from the vignette featured during the end credits of The Lost Boys: The Tribe, is called Sam Emerson. The two lead characters, the brother and sister in this movie, are Chris Emerson and Nicole Emerson. This seems to hint that the three are all related but the movie doesn't explain why, or how this could be. Or if it did I missed it.

Can anyone explain? Any ideas?

nope totally different people, just one hell of a conquincidence that they have the same last name, same vampire problem and run into the same vamp hunter that helped the other family out before.

or its just a really crappy movie and they said *beep* explaining things thats for movies with bigger budgets then 2 mil. i just doing this to kill time anyways. lets have a guy that makes comic books do the dirty work so we can get this piece of Sh@$%% over with.

Ill catch you on the flip side.

No they are related Chris and Nicole were Michael(deceased) and Star's(deceased) children. Sam is their uncle who was turned into a vampire.

There's a lot of weird stuff happening within the world of The Lost Boys. A comic book series taking place before the events of The Tribe said that Michael and Star died in a car crash.

The Tribe mentions that the kids parents died in a car crash. The original script mentioned that they were the kids of Michael and Star but it was decided to leave it out. Then in The Thirst Allan mentions that Michael and Star are still alive which either says the whole thing got retconned or part two never happened. Edgar's missing tattoos could suggest that.

i just read an interview with Feldman around the time of filming and he says that they are the neice and nephew of BOTH Michael and Sam. how is that possible if they were the only two siblings in the family? they would have had to have a brother or sister that wasnt mentioned or seen in the first movie.
