Not to sound like another Internet whiner but did anyone else that read this book picture someone else? Like cameron diaz or charlize theron?

As an investor I have seen The Garden of Eden. Mena Suvari is superb and definitely deserves and Oscar. The film is beautifully photographed and is an amazing production. Hopefully, it will be screened in England early next year and is going to the Rome Film Festival in October.

Pity. I have read this book several times over the years. Other than this site, have heard nothing about its release let alone a trailer. As usual, this is like trailing a bottle of Petrus for 300.00. It's out there somewhere, but no one's giving any clues on where to find it.
Maybe someday, I'll get to see it on video. I'm not worried about Ms. Suvari, I think she'll play a good neurotic Catherine, it's the actor I've been concerned about, David Bourne was American not English. This is like Robert Redford playing Denys Finch Hatten or an American playing James Bond.
I have sent you another message about the film just having been previewed in Rome at the Film Festival last Sunday. Extremely well received, apparently, with loads of press there. The production team is not yet back in England. Regarding David Bourne, he is played by an American, Jack Huston, so there is no problem there. You cannot company him to Robert Redford playing James Bond! Be patient, the film will be released in England as soon as it has been to other film festivals and a distributor has taken it up for Britain. There will be a further film being made by Berwick Street Productions. Why don't you invest in that next year so that you can keep on top of all that is going on?

Jack Huston surely qualifies as an American? His mother was English but she died when he was he was seven. His father is a US attorney - and well, his other relatives...Aunt Angelica,who he describes as his surrogate mother. Also Hemingway was raised with his English grandfather living with the family. I think Jack will be good. Oh, and Brosnan is Irish and Connery, Scottish...
shareI have seen the film, and am an investor. When I first heard she was taking the female lead I was a little worried about her. The other films I had seen such as AMerican Pie etc., she always played a very weak character that was a little sugary and that could easily be manipulated.
In the film, however, this is absolutely not the case. She is a very strong and manipulative character.
As for the film, the cinematography is world class. Be aware of what you are going to see before you do go and see it. Don't expect a fast action film!
