I wasn't aware of the source material for this movie, I got it because of Maggie Smith. So: I freely admit to complete ignorance on the storyline.

What is Tolly's full first name?
I remember him commenting on someone else's name (an ancestor, I think) and the housekeeper mentioned that with his name he didn't have much room to talk.
However, his name went past too quickly for me to catch.
