"All women are superheroes"

Have to love the simplistic and naive way that Hollywood views women. It is like they view them as these pure delicate creatures that can do no wrong and are amazing at everything; when the reality is that just like men women can be and do all sorts of evil things and they can also fail and exhibit toxic behavior. It is like the love to infantilize women.

SW was never looked at like a super hero. She was awesome in the Alien series as a tough woman who took charge when needed. Brie and Gal actually played super heroes with their comic book roles. I wasn’t bothered by it. I mean there was a reason why they put all 3 of those ladies up there for that speech.

Does that make Amber Heard a super villian? 😛

That’s why I laughed when people were saying believe all women.

Aren't you the one always objectifying women? They're only as good as how beautiful you find them to be?

Sigourney Weaver, Brie Larson and Gal Gadot delivered the night's most cringeworthy moment

"The superwomen read some blustering, barely coherent text with all the good intentions in the world, including a belabored set-up about an all-woman fight club and a dull punchline about women in the industry being asked what it’s like being a woman in the industry," says Cassie Da Costa. "Then, the trio introduced Eimear Noone, the first woman conductor at the Oscars, who—in a horrifying move that surely wasn’t Noone’s choice—only led the orchestra for the Best Original Score nominees, and nothing else for any other part of the ceremony. It was a clear instance of tokenism: as long as we can see her, she can conduct."
