because it will be completely new across the board also there going there MCU format of it being Interconnected but not a Trilogy also to Quote HelloGreedo Star Wars is best when it's completely new And Rian Johnson prepared us for this we should be thanking him

Johnson made the worst Star Wars movie ever made , why should he be thanked? He destroyed the franchise in one movie, pretty much in the first 10 mins
