Tim Allen isn't funny anyways

Dude has never been funny outside of Toy Story and the first season of Home Improvement. All of his feature films are terrible. Clearly none of you are watching his new game show, he's possibly the worst game show host I've ever seen! He's also a massive asshole in real life. Not sure why anybody likes him.

EDIT: I forgot about Galaxy Quest, that's a great movie. But the Santa Claus trilogy is mediocre at best, Wild Hogs is a goddamn trainwreck, Deck The Halls sucks ass, and Jungle 2 Jungle is one of the worst films of the 90's. Dare I even mention Shaggy Dog? Zoom? Crazy On The Outside???

reply

Oh! Come on! He was funny in For Richer or poorer, The Santa Clause (2 and 3 suck), and Jungle to Jungle. Also disagree with you about Home Improvement. I like the first 3 seasons best though the 4th and 5th seasons aren't too bad. It gets bad in Season 6 and never got better. Also I refuse to see this film partially because I can't stand the change in Buzz's voice and also because I just am not interested in his franchise since it's just a parody of Star Wars.

reply

He was also great in Galaxy Quest and Toy Story 2 & 3 (I haven't seen 4). If you're looking for someone who has never been funny aside from one or two times, and whose feature films are mostly terrible, I suggest going to the Will Ferrell page.

reply

I only liked Will Ferrel in Elf and The Other Guys.

reply

EXACTLY my point. If you're talking about a guy who just isn't funny and has only done one or two great movies, then the description fits Will Ferrell -- NOT the very funny stand up comic Tim Allen who has been in a half dozen very entertaining comedies.

reply

Last Man Standing has some pretty funny episodes.

reply

Who IS this new guy on MovieChat with the bad attitude and the annoying camelcase name? What an asshole!

reply

Man I've got absolutely no idea who it could be.

reply

"Hur hur hur hur"

reply

- the sound of every trailer park redneck laughing at genius comedy classics like Wild Hogs and Zoom.

reply

Box office receipts tell a different story. Your comment tells me you are an idiot.

reply

Yes, because the Box Office is what REALLY defines a good movie. Cannes Film Festival should instead be looking for Transformers and Marvel films for their next Palm D'Or. Your logic tells me you're an idiot.

Not to mention, Zoom, Shaggy Dog, Deck The Halls, Jungle 2 Jungle, and Crazy On The Outside were all massive flops. Zoom in particular was one of the biggest flops of its time. So even this backwards logic is still wrong.

Cherry picking all the movies Allen appeared in that bombed horribly doesn't "prove" anything either. You could do that with any actor. For example, let's take Robin Williams, widely regarded as one of the funniest movie actors and best stand up comedians in modern memory.

Well, let's see, he starred in The Survivors, Club Paradise, Toys, Jack, Father's Day, Death to Smoochy, RV, and Old Dogs. ALL of which got absolutely scathing reviews and failed miserably at the Box Office.

Man, this guy Robin Williams CLEARLY has no talent and has never been funny!

reply

Santa Clause.

reply

And Chris Evans is as sharp as a Marble. He's a tool.

So do you know him personally?

reply

Regardless if he is funny or not (yet he is funny, I'm a huge fan), he's the iconic voice behind it. Yet because he cares about Democracy and the Republic and rights of ALL people, and Disney does not, he was "canceled". It is Disney's loss.

reply

Not sure what you're talking about, he would have to be a democrat for him to care about ALL people. Republicans only care about white people. Everyone knows that.

reply

Well, I'll be heading into my 65th year as a black American, and everything I've ever seen suggests Republicans don't give a crap about me being black. It's the Democrats who care about me because they think I'm part of a reliable voting bloc. I'm not - not anymore.

I hope there's a change in black Americans as there has been in the Latino community.
