A great short film indeed, but there's little doubt that it was heavily influenced by what Norman McLaren did in his 1952 film 'Neighbours'. Not just the pixilation technique but some of the acting aswell, such as jumping to 'hover' and lying flat and sliding thrrough the grass.

tony and i had actually not seen neighbours before we made this. obviously we have now and love it. lots of people think we ripped it off, but we definitely did not. if people consider it an homage, or influenced by him, that is a great compliment to us!
