I was posting on this board since before the film came out and all that is left is a bunch of threads from this year only ( I believe?) What happened to everything? Where did everything go? Why was it all deleted? Is this normal?

...but it is normal and often happens on IMDb. The boards can often be (almost) wiped / older threads are deleted especially when popularity / interest drops for certain films (and often the case that only one or two pages may remain available for discussion and therefore older threads are pushed off the board). This isn't always the case...and I believe there are exceptions to the rule. But generally, this is often what happens (and often influenced by traffic received for that particular film).
For example (from my own experience), It (2017) doubled the amount of pages available for discussion during production (when the board was extremely busy), but recently dropped from eight pages to seven since traffic has dwindled (ever so slightly). And I remember when Les Misérables (2012) also reached an impressive eight or so pages of discussion...but now (several years after release) stands at a very sad one page! And it is sad...because a lot of discussion is lost!
But IMDb's view on this is to copy and save any importance discussion... 😒
EDIT: Obviously, number of pages depends on how your preferences are set...but the idea is still the same. 😃
