Torture Scene

Sorry if this is being a bit ghoulish but I remember reading that one of the things that was quite disturbing about the real Siegfried Fehmer was that he used his German shepherd when he tortured people (and is one of the reasons he got caught as he went back for his dog). They didn't really show this in the movie (unless the scene was cut). This was one of the reasons he was feared and despised. In the torture scene it's the Obersharfuhrer who appears to be doing the torturing. Wonder why this detail wasn't included.
