This doesn't really make sense, because how would the martyr know this? The only way to know would be to get a vision. Where would this vision come from? Some supernatural/metaphysical force. The vision she receives? There is no metaphysical/supernatural force. Doesn't work does it? It's similar to trying to go back in time to kill parents. What is required to do it negates the ability to do it.

Tons of assumptions here. First off, there doesn't have to be some supernatural source, you could just say that she reached a special quantum brain state or something. And even if the vision was sent to her by a supernatural force that doesn't have to mean that there's an afterlife. There can be a God/higher power without there being an afterlife and there can be an afterlife without there being a higher power. The concepts do not necessitate each other. It's totally possible that a supernatural force could send her a vision showing her there is no afterlife.
