Yeah, it is a little offensive.
I think there was even an episode where he said "I don't give a croissant".
WHO CARES?!????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if it was an american accent, would it be offensive?!??!
shareNo, that's the point.
It's a common stereotype that the French are rude.
yes, i get that but let's all get a bit of a sense of humor here. do french people have rep of being a little stuffy or rude? sure, you're kidding yourselves if you don't think that's the case. it's an exaggeration, a caricature, it's for laughs. let's all ease up here.
shareIm half french on my mothers side and am in France very often. Being British i am treated as normal foreigner. My conclusion is that the majority of the French are indeed quite rude, or at least to people who do not speak French as a first language.
I found Mr. Rudes accent extremely funny and fairly spot on.
I read on BBC and Yahoo! earlier this month that the French were voted the rudest vacationers in a survey.
So that's just hilarious.
Nope and I wouldn't find it offensive if he had a United States accent. Lets say a New Yorker for instance. Some people say that New Yorkers are rude. I thought that the people of New York (for the most part) were nice, they just give it to you straight. I much prefer that than someone who is fake, but acts nice. I can be quite rude myself when I want to be.

I personally found Mr Rude's French accent amusing.
Though quite frankly, I'm offended Mr Lazy isn't an Australian.
We Aussies are renowned for being the laziest in the world.
