I feel like this movie was way too complicated for it's own good. In the end they found a body and they said it was the guy who was being tortured, so I dont get it.. did fishburn character kill someone and then take his spot? Or am I just crazy and not getting something?

Ok. This is what I think. The man they found under the torture room was in fact the real Archie. The man who pretended to be archie presents himself as ziggy in the end, but I think that it is possible that he wasn't Ziggy. So the way I see it is that Archie was killed and replaced by a man who pretended to be Ziggy who at the same time pretended to be archie. The reason that kevins father would think that he was Ziggy wasn't that he recogniced him because Ziggy wouldn't look the same due to plastic surgeon.
So in the end it comes down to this. Either it wasn't ziggy that called in the end OR Ziggy made someone pretend to be him in the plot that he had set up.
Hope this makes it more clear.
This is what I think. The tortured guy was Ziggy! He made himself look exactly like his accountant (whose body was in the basement). At the end he wants to kill Kevin because his daughter died because of Kevin's father.

They discussed how Ziggy was known to get facial surgery to change his appearance in order to remain anonymous.
Its obvious Ziggy changed his appearance to match that of Archie Green (for whatever reason he had...probably DID steal 10 mill lol). Archies dead body didnt appear to me to be decomposed for very long so im assuming he didnt take on Greens (Fishburne) role until recently. He had been planning the whole thing for years. He said hed even watched Sullivans son as he grew up. Because Sullivan killed Greens daughter)
So yeah...the dead body was the real archie...and Ziggy was the "Alive" archie.
As far as the letter that the guy on the phone was referring to in the end "I got a letter from ziggy..im supposed to answer to you..am i speaking to the right person"?? I think that line was meant to be left to the viewers imagination. "Im supposed to answer to you..." leads me to believe ziggy saw his end comin, but saw somethin in kevin that led him to believe Kevin would run the show.
The voice on the other end, although hidden like it was in earlier conversations, didnt sound the same to me as it did in previous convos.
Im replayin it and its a diff guy.
