I loved it, even while i am not part of any organized religion.

This film just shows how powerful believing is.
Believing that you are an atheist is the exact same believe as the belief in god. Once you have witnessed something like the mexican woman has, then of course you got yourself another confirmation that your believe is right on. Don't you know how powerful we are, what you want it to be it is.
If you are an atheist then you must ask yourself, are you afraid to believe anything, because life is so much more beautiful if you believe everything, just for the experience. I love it. Every knowing starts with believing. Believing however is a state of mind, it's a thought, but thoughts can be very powerful, you can see that. Life is just an experience, and we are capable of manifesting anything that we want. And the more people believe the same thing the stronger it gets.
Anyways I enjoyed the movie, because it is a nice story, a bit cliche, but the neighbor was gorgeous. So for me there was a lot of recognition in his character, then I always enjoy movies, when I recognize myself. Even the exact words he used can be coming out of my mouth. Anyways, one thing is different when a doctor tells me I am going to die, I will never ever believe him. Hey there you got this believe again. It's what you believe will manifest, and when it does, you know. There are more images of Jesus Christ around the world then there are believers, so of course it's easy that you recognize his face. They never said what he was sick of, only that it's not common in the US. So it's probably atheism.

"life is so much more beautiful if you believe"

That's the truth and the bottom line. People that choose to live in ignorance and choose to not believe are doing themselves a disservice at every turn. They are so scared as they age that they want company in their misery. That's why they are bitter and lash out. Every day that goes by they panic a little more and grow more depressed. Why not drag others down, maybe it'll make them feel better to know they have company. Instead of stepping back and seeing the truth, they grow more anxious and lash out. It's quite sad really.

That's an unfair generalization, I think. I believe that it all depends upon a person's view point and acceptance of their world. I don't know that you can say that all people without faith get more miserable as they age as they cling to the depressing notion of their mortality. Certainly that can be said of many folks but it certainly isn't the rule, I wouldn't think.
