Tough Paycheck

Such a shame that they tried to cheat the local actors out of pay. It upset New Mexico so much that it even hit the news!

"tried to cheat" isn't exactly the right term. That implies malicious intent. I wonder how many independent films run into this kind of trouble. I am just glad that it has made it through the fire. I am excited to see the great dancing. I hear they managed to compile all the best dancers in the world.

Well, as per another thread here, the pay issue was resolved.

That aside, this is a poor place to chose to bad-mouth any production company, deserving or not (and this production company has definitely proven to be in the "not" category)... as all it serves to do is damage the final box office of the film. Sort of insuring that the producers would never have the money to pay you.

Has nobody ever heard the old adage about biting the hand?

Which was made after mine.

I don't see any way that the local actors 'bit the hand'. *I'm pretty much in the 'NOT' category of 'local actor'*

If they were not paid, it seems right to not be happy. They don't get a good credit, if any. They could at least get paid money.

Which they finally did so there's mo reason to talk of this anymore.
