Most Horrifying Scene

When Lucien burns his old newspaper clippings in a container IN THE BARN, and then turns his back and walks away while it is STILL BURNING.

Anyone who knows anything about barns, especially horse barns, is that fire is an absolute no-no.

The building is made of wood, and filled with highly flammable hay and sawdust mixed with wood shavings -- the bedding in the stalls.

The thought of having a rapidly-spreading fire in a horse barn filled with 1.5-ton animals that panic easily . . . is a nightmare that keeps barn managers and horse owners up at night.

It's just the director being egotistical and artistic.

Yep! I was just about to post about that here. What kind of idiot lights a fire in a barn and walks away.
