I think that's what I would do. I mean half the country wants one while half wants the other. Would anyone else try to sell or auction the vote for money? Another move is maybe if you wanted a Democrat, say that it'll take x amount of money for me to keep my Democrat vote, so you can keep your vote and make a ton of cash along the way. Who cares if people think I have no integrity and stuff like that.

No. I happen to dislike the idea of a prison sentence.
I might look at the numbers and see which way the majority of the population actually voted (since it was the electoral votes that were split, not the country).
shareSetting aside for the moment that this CAN'T actually happen (see the FAQ for more on that), you realize, if you tried to do that, EVERYONE would know about it. Bud was being followed and watched constantly. The whole nation would look at him like a scumbag if he tried that.

shareIf it was me I would tell everyone that any electoral system that can be put on hold because of ONE VOTE thanks to a technicality is fundamentally flawed and they need to go back to the drawing board...then refused to vote. The Electoral College would be deadlocked and in January the House of Representatives would have to select the President.
