Nah, disgaree entirely. ALL of this has been covered better in other movies (my boyfriend's back, zombies anonymous, etc..) The self aware zombie comedy is nothing new, and unfortunately this added nothing to the genre.

Sometimes they know they're zombies, sometimes they don't?

Sometimes they think they're super soldiers?

They know they're the ones that ate the green substance, but for some reason STILL think the other people are the 'infected'?

Color = what's happening in their minds. B&W = what's going on in reality. Yet he was eating the Mexican cooks brains in a COLOR scene, meaning in their own minds they know they're zombies - until the next time the director needs them to randomly forget. Lame and lazy.

Sometimes they're doing completely different things in color vs black and white, sometimes it's the exact same?

Weak weak weak. Pick one and go with it, but to be all over the place like that hurt this flick bad...

No fear. No distractions. The ability to let that which does not matter truly slide.-Tyler Durden

When the soldier tells them they're super soldiers, they think they're super soldiers. When he eventually tells them they're zombies, they realise that they're zombies. They don't switch back and forth.

They think the green stuff in the air infected everyone else but that them eating the green stuff combined with dairy made them into immune super soldiers.

Just because you eat a brain doesn't mean that you are a zombie. Animal brains are quite often used in many different recipes.

Didn't notice any discrepancy....

This is one movie that is extremely over rated.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE HYPE PEOPLE!.

Ignore what the bulls!t on the DVD cover says about the movie.

The movie is not unique just because it showed us part of the story from the zombies side instead of all of it from the humans side that are against the zombies. They chose this view to show it from the zombie side to hide the fact that they had very little money to spend on zombie makeup and have zombies regular onscreen.

They had the nerve to disrespect Land of the Dead in this movie. Land of the Dead at any point in the movie is still a better movie than this movie will ever be!. This movie had a pathetic attempt at a love story mixed with comedy and some zombie action at the same time. Next time fools (the movie makers) before you bad mouth any effort George Romero has done, do better yourselves before hand. Untill that time, SHUT IT!.

I rated the movie a 6/10 for two reasons.

#1 Julianna Robinson.

#2 The bowling alley fight scene (the bowling ball hits the blonde guy in the face). That was the only bit that made me laugh. The rest was as if the humour was being forced onto the screen it didn't look like it came naturally.

I was generous with that rating I gave it.

"Anger rideth with the one that knows no fear."

The movie is not unique just because it showed us part of the story from the [zombies'] side instead of all of it from the [humans'] side that are against the zombies.

So what other films do that?

this movie was so bad it's hard to believe.
the idea was pretty okay, but the execution of it was so ridiculous.
while other bad movies still entertain because they are bad, this movie was nearly unbearable to watch.

Long is the way And hard, that out of Hell leads up to light.

Grace Lee did the original "new" take on zombies a few years back - the quote under my name comes from her film "American Zombie" in 2007. It was sad and it was pretty scary at the end, too. The sad bit is the kitten-loving, wedding-planning zombie (played by Grace Lee herself) who may or may not realize her dream of marriage and a happy family life is only a pipe dream.

It was brilliant, kept me up waaaaaaaaaaaay past my bedtime. I was looking for a boring movie to put me to sleep whoopsy.

Yeah, I had been hearing the nay-sayers crapping all over the movie, but I watched it the other night on Netfix and thought it was funny as hell. It's not the best zombie film or zombie comedy out there and it drags a bit here and there, but it was definitely worth watching.

There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

This movie was actually quite clever, was able to poke fun at itself, even discussing Romero's zombie films as some sort of how to manual, cracking me up. My fave lines:

Brain Margarita anyone?

Is that ice cream green?
No, it's just the lighting.

We should try to blend in. Get night jobs or something.
We're zombies, not illegal immigrants!

This has been coming on Chiller lately. My boyfriend & I caught part of it maybe two weeks ago (the Mexican restaurant scene) but had to go out before we watched more. I watched it on my own today. I still missed a few things, but I thought it was pretty cute.

I, personally, hate zombies. I hate zombie movies. I hate the idea of zombies. You might even say I have an irrational fear of zombies (and clowns ^_~). The boyfriend, though, likes them. I've been subject to various zombie movies, and I have to hide my eyes through half the showing! Then, woe is me, the zombie-type video games! Oh... Dead Space....

I like the comedies though. Shaun of the Dead (still have to hide my eyes) was great. Zombieland was supremely awesome, with a surprisingly good end for a zombie flick. I LOVED that this movie (either Aaah! Zombies! Or Wasting Away), from start to finish did not take itself seriously. It KNEW it was a low-budget crapfest, and it ran with that! When you know you're bad, and you LOVE that you're bad, I feel like it makes a difference. And I feel like that makes haters a moot point. You CAN'T take it seriously, the movie doesn't even want that.

It was fuzzy at points. Acting was a little iffy. The ending was... well... a pretty big plothole. But there were a lot of cute and witty moments. It wasn't TOO disgusting, like so many zombie movies tried to be -- but still had "exploding" kitties and an pseudo-real-"toupee" -- ha.

And it might not be the MOST original, but I feel like the "zombie POV" really has NOT hit the mainstream, unless you know your zombies. This was the first I've seen in that regard, because been shown on Chiller, which I flip to when I need a kick that's scary... but not /really/. Then again, I don't like zombie flicks, so maybe I don't know. Haha. But I liked it!
