What's with all the hate on the actress who plays Winnie Gekko?

Some people on this board care about Winnie having short hair and not being a girly girl, it shouldn't matter. She only has a short haircut, she still wears women's clothing, so technically Winnie doesn't look like a boy.

I personally thought Carey Mulligan was the right casting choice, and that "not about the money" scene was fantastic, emotional and realistic.
