I agree, but lol its funny Snakes on a plane and transmorphers. Anyway while they are copy cats which release there movies a week before there competitors if people like them, then let them have it. If its really worthless movies then people wouldnt like them. I dont really like there movies, im just saying....

who would WANT Transmorphers, let alone rent or steal it?
And Freakshow is no where near original. It's a badly made rip-off of Tod Browning's FREAKS with added, unnecessary gore and sexual innuendo. Why even both trying to "reimagine" FREAKS? You could never do better.
If I were a relative of Browning, I'd sue for you using his name in any relation to that abysmal film.

You forgot Wrong Turn: Detour
and Freaks: Freakshow.

The Asylum sickens me. I hate how they do this. And, even if the movies aren't rip-offs, they are poorly directed and terribly performed, and the cinematography looks like 3rd graders filmed it..

I say bring `em on! Most of the time I like them more than the movie they're mimicking. While they seriously need to find a new f/x house (or avoid the bad cgi altogether) they more than make up for it most of the time with the added bonus of gratuitous nudity, something an increasingly prudish Hollywood is sorely lacking these days. Keep up the good work.

Agreed. The fact that these guys can make movies that are actually entertaining so quickly and for so little money earns their respect in my book. Definitely need new VFX and sound guys though.

For fun I watched some non-Asylum movies with the same actors (ok I have a crush on a few of their actresses, so shoot me). The non-Asylum films were way, way worse even if they were "original".

It's funny that people think the Asylum is a bunch of greedy, talentless guys. They're making money. They're smart. Do people think the producers and director of "The Pumpkin Carver" were out to make art or put their stamp on the history of cinema? I think not.

The Asylum should shut everybody up and make a non-ripoff with better VFX and sound to just show how superior most of their *beep* is.

They're movies are usually better than the crappy big budget ones they copy. And in most of these cases it's just Hollywood remakes, sequels or cartoon or superhero franchises like Transformers anyway. How can we fault them for doing this when they're just following the big studios lead. The last couple of years Hollywood has had about 3% original output the rest 97% being remakes, sequels and rip ofs of foreign films. One glaring aexample would be the new remake Quarrantine that was released to US screens before the original Spanish movie it remakes REC. *beep* YOU HOLLYWOOD!
