You're absolutely right about American Beauty. It definitely should have made it. I wasn't as big a fan of brokeback mountain though. I had nothing against it being a gay movie (honestly thought it would be a problem but it was handled well) I really just thought Brokeback didn't bring anything special to the table. Totally with you on American Beauty though. Plus I think a Charlie Kaufman movie should have made the cut. Even though I like Adaptation best, I think Eternal Sunshine or even Being John Malkovich were deserving of the list. Maybe in 10 years.

shareThe top rob wasn't Amadeus (though I put that second). The top rob was Doctor Zhivago which dropped something like 61 places suddenly. Apparently the Russian Revolution has lost its luster in this country.
