Why?

This has baffled me since I first heard it in the game but I was so shocked i didn't really know what to say.

Why did America not only got sh-ity voice actors but they also had to Re-Dub (Yes re-dub) the actual lyrics of the songs "Happy Birthday" and "Watashi no Mizu to Sora"!!! But OH NO not just for the English Dialogue but also the Japanese dialogue. The originals were very likable and well done for a voice actor.

I was quite annoyed with the outcome of the re-dubbed version as they sound offbeat and below average.

And Before anyone quotes Kingdom Hearts "Hikari" and "Passion" they atleast got Utada Hikaru (The original singer) to re-dubb them.

I didn't mind the dubbing, I barely noticed it.

In response to your question of why they dub, well, it makes sense to make a game in the language the gamer is used to. Thats part of the marketing strategy of globalisation. It really doesn't worry me unless its really over the top like the dubbing for "Kung fu Hustle"
