Came back to this game 6 years later

I bought this game when it came out and I remember absolutely loving it and playing it constantly. I recall a few glitches with it but it was fun overall.

I started playing it again this week which will be 6 years later and I can't believe what I'm playing.

The game is superb in almost every aspect but it has three main problems that just make it so frustrating tat I nearly threw my controller at the screen a few times.

- The camera swings to random angles during combat which make it impossible to see what you are attacking and what is attacking you.

- The light sabre attack combo makes the character hop forward a little on every swing and more than once this has made my character step off a cliff edge to his death on one of the swings. Also there is a moment of half a second on the swings where the buttons seem to be deactivated, presumably so the character can finish his attack animation but it make everything feel very sluggish and open to attack.

- Restart points. I've never agreed with this method of programming, even in the 8 and 16 bit era. If you die you should restart where and when you died and not before. In The Force Unleashed, more than a few times I've slogged my way through half a level and then a mid-boss battle and accidentally slipped off a bridge edge or miscalculated a jump and the game makes me restart half a level earlier and do all the battles again. Total *beep*

It's a shame because even now the game looks and sounds great and it IS amazing fun to play and really captures that Star Wars feel but these problems really spoil it for me and if I remember correctly no fixes were ever made for them so a case of 'rush job' couldn't be applied.

Now that the PS4 is out I was toying with getting the sequels for PS3 as they will be pretty cheap by now but if they have the same problems I'm not sure I'll bother because there's only one thing worse than a *beep* game and that's an amazing game with a couple of *beep* flaws that really bring it down.

I loved this game so much. But I do agree that it is annoying when you swing your lightsaber and you move foward
