i agree that it was definitely more fun than GTA IV...i prefer the campy fun that older GTA games gave us (like san andreas). saints row gave me that feeling while playing.

I agree, SR2 captured the wild chaotic fun the earlier GTA titles had. No can argue GTA4 had awesome graphics and a solid, even emotional, story. It just lacked that spark of going around causing mayhem.

I agree as well. Saints Row 2 is what I was hoping GTA IV would be but Rockstar decided to take GTA in a more serious direction with IV and while still a very good game it didn't caputre that magic that III, Vice City and San Andreas had.
shareI'm very early into the game, so I can't form too much of an opinion yet, but Saints Row 2 definitely seems like a more 'fun' game than the fourth GTA game.
But GTA 4 does have better graphics and realism. However, the realism is kinda what makes fourth GTA less better than Saints Row 2. Gameplay seems more fun in Saints Row 2 and in the vein of the previous GTA's. I love that!
Oh, and I love the fact that you can create your lead character, male or female. Huge plus, as I've always wanted to do that in GTA (sadly never happened!).

i dont think that u can say which is better they are 2 very diffrent styles of games where as GTA is straight down the line realism and SR2 is all out arcade sillyness it's all bout what gameplay mechanic u prefer but better? there both on par but diffrent.

shareWell, honestly. GTAIV is better mainly because it is more well made. GTA has better shooting, driving, visuals, AI, physics, music, acting, sound effects, production value and has less glitches than saints row 2. I like Saint's Row 2, don't get me wrong. I guess you can say its more fun because it has a lot more customization, more things to do, and its very over the top. I do enjoy Saints Row 2 and I look forward to part 3. But SR2 has a lot of flaws which kind of ruin the experience sometimes. I really liked GTA4 and I understand why so many of you were disappointed by it. But GTA4 left out a lot of the side features of San Andreas because this was the first time that Rockstar made a GTA game on the PS3 and Xbox360. Meaning that they chose to just focus on the most important aspects of the series and refine them. In conclusion, I enjoy both of these series but for different reasons. On one hand you have a gritty, cinematic, action game. On the other there is a wacky, gangland, action game. They shouldn't be compared too much and deserve to exist alongside each other.
shareWhile not better than the whole GTA franchise, I do believe this had an edge in the fun department over GTA IV. I remember grueling through GTA IV missions because I didn't really want to do them! lol
