She doesn't look like a smoker. It could just be covering the tat, if it was newly done because it went away and the tat appeared later on in the show.
It could also be birth control too but since she's supposedly a virgin, maybe not. Then again some people take birth control to not have to deal with the monthlys and it helps with acne (my friend's doctor had on birth control since jr high to help with her acene and I KNOW she's a virgin).

ppl also go on birth control if they have screwed up hormones. one of my friends got put on the pill to regulates her periods because she had polycystic ovaries. being on birth control does not mean you are sexually active!
but then again, we dont even know that it was a birth control patch (LOL i typed bitch not birth!) it couldve been a band aid
