to be honest I think Chris is one of the greatest singers out there right now
but his performance sucked bad, I wanted him to do something original
and he did the stupidist thing ever dance like Michael Jackson,
but that wasn't the worst part the beginning was lame and dumb
I hate it I even think that Britney Spears did a better job.
If he was 'one of the greatest singers out there', he should have been able to sing live, at least in the parts of it when he wasn't dancing around. He didn't though, hence he isn't a great singer by anyone who matter's standards. He should save some of the dancing for a music video.. live performances are meant to showcase what someone has to offer.. in the case of singers--THEIR VOICE. no one is buying a CD to see someone dance and hop around, thats what the *beep* internet and youtube is for.

Sure, I can't dance like that (or at ALL), but so much of what he was doing with the Michael Jackson imitation has been so well documented, the stuff has been watched for DECADES now and dance kids have been raised on it, so how tough can it be really to fine tune such a performance if you have the ability to do so?
It seemed more like a talent show, all the way down to the terrible lip synching on everyone's part. In fact, the entire show itself seemed to be about as well organized and rehearsed as a junior high school talent show. Pathetic.
When will people learn that headset microphones fool NO ONE!

Let's say it was a regular VMA's, everyone still would've thought he did great, (which he did), but what Britney did boosts his up that much more
