theme: comebacks/old hollywood glamour

here's who i think should perform:
-Whitney Houston (opens the show in a comeback performance)
-Madonna, Justin Timberlake, and Timbaland ("Give It 2 Me (Intro)/4 Minutes")
-Janet Jackson, Ciara, and Busta Rhymes ("Feedback Remix")
-Leona Lewis ("Better in Time")
-Coldplay ("Violet Hill (Intro)/Viva La Vida")
-Katy Perry ("I Kissed a Girl")
-Paramore ("That's What You Get")
-Flo Rida, T-Pain and Lil Mama ("Low (Intro)/Shawty Get Loose/Elevator")
-Rihanna ("Disturbia (Intro)/Breakin' Dishes")
-New Kids on the Block ("Summertime")
-3 Doors Down ("Never Too Late")
-Van Halen (another comeback performance)
-Britney Spears (let's hope she's better this time around) ("Break the Ice(Intro)/Radar")
-Usher, Beyonce, and Young Jeezy (close the show with "Love In This Club")

Pre Show: Metro Station ("Shake It"), Solange ("I Decided"), Tiffany Evans ("I'm Grown")

any other suggestions?

they should perform on the Radio City Music Hall roof (or wherever that was) pre-show like MCR did a few years back for a nice touch.

other ideas:
-Video Vanguard Award: Prince
-Presenters (legendary performer & younger counterpart): Gladys Knight & Keyshia Cole, Liza Minnelli & Christina Aguilera, Aretha Franklin and Mary J. Blige, Debbie Harry & Gwen Stefani, Pat Benatar & Kelly Clarkson, Lou Reed & Jack White, George Michael & Mika, Babyface and Ne-Yo, etc.

Here's some news I've just learned about the 2008 VMAs:

It'll be on September 7 from the Paramount Pictures lot in Los Angeles; for the first time since 1998, the big show has returned to Hollywood!

well, I got 4 right (Katy Perry, Paramore, T-Pain, and Rihanna) and I predicted Brit Brit at least showing up. Flo Rida and Young Jeezy are showing up as well.
