The ending
All I need seems like a better selection for the music playing over the end credits. Anyone else agree?

the last 10 minutes of the movie, only a 1/4th of it actually is how it went in the book. the ending is generally the most important part of any story.... annnnd they change it??? im disgusted..
shareOK...but, the movie ended with Radiohead, and the way it ended was awesome when it came to Radiohead.
I've also read the book, but I'm wondering why you responded to me about this....

Yes, the song Reckoner by Radiohead is amazing, I am completely with you on that. However, the use of the song at the ending seemed really out of place. It did not match the tone/feelings of the conclusion at all. Something more hopeful or upbeat with a tinge of melancholy would have been perfect, but the use of Radiohead (one of my favorite bands) simply does not work.
shareWorked great for me. It was ethereal and flighty, much like the entire story, and certainly the end.

if you read the book, you obviously didnt 'get' the book if you were satisfied with the ending of this movie...
shareI've read all of Chuck's books.
And, I think you need to re-read the thread. I am relating the sound of the Radiohead song with the tone of the end of the movie, in my opinion. I didn't like the movie anywhere near as much as I did the book, but I appreciated the movie for what it was. And, I liked the use of Radiohead in the movie.
I don't typically have problems "getting" books, thanks.

Radiohead fit the movie perfectly. Whether it fit the tone of the book or not is a different story, I've not read it.
I think people like to just throw around they're read the source material. Ignore southwhatpanther.
Koalas are telepathic. Plus, they control the weather.
i'm getting into palahniuk and have read 'survivor' and 'diary' just so you know but i haven't read choke yet. i want to read them all eventually but i really liked the ending to this movie. i liked the song and the kissing going on for a long time turned me on. i have a crush on sam rockwell, though. so. but i thought the song was pretty cool. thumbs up.
shareRadiohead's Reckoner gave me chills at the end of this movie. It was so perfect :)
shareIt was, and when I first saw it, I thought it was great (excellent song), but on second viewing I noticed that the timing of the song doesn't fit the pacing of the movie. Maybe I am being pedantic because I can't help hearing the beat/tune of a song and couldn't match it with the movie on screen.
shareYeah I don't know what you're getting at,
Reckoner was a great song choice for the credits.
"Stickers! and Ponies! and Myspace.com!"
"Hip? HipHop? HipHopanopanus?"

I thought the song was so good that it motivated me to find it... so no.
Love United. Hate Glazers.
No, that song was freakin' perfect for the film's ending. So sweet.
Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
