Excellent especially as Copeland wasn't in it

I really enjoyed the series and I hope it gets picked up somewhere but what I was dreading when I started watching it (and irritated me enough that I almost stopped reading the book once he turned up) was Douglas Copeland's self serving appearances, I'm so glad they dumped him from the adaptation.

I think the corpse in the elevator during Cowboy's vision is Douglas Copeland. At least, that's what the credits say.

I think Copeland in the book was pretty good.

Seeing what they did to Evil Mark in the show (WHY?!?!) they should've cast DC as Evil Mark.

Ya, I thought the silly irony of Douglas Coupland as character in his own book was fun. People take that too seriously seeing it as some sort of self indulgence. Why not. And having the main protagonist and Coupland detest each other and constantly taking pot shots was fun. It made me shake my head and smile each time I read a scene with the two.

haha douglas coupland's appearance almost makes me believe that the jpod story is based on a real person. It adds something special to the book and I don't think I would have liked the book so much if it didn't have the coupland scene
