Blame China?

I wonder if the Chinese government didn't like the portrayal of Chinese people and pressured the CBC to cancel the series by using the Olympics (Threaten to refuse camera access at the games etc..).

If this was the case, I hope that CBC turns around and restarts production on jPod now that the Olympics are over and the Chinese no longer have this leverage. I really bet they hated the episode with the Chinese heroine/slave factory and the Bird Flu joke ;)

The official word was that the Maple Leafs not making it into the playoffs meant reduced revenue for the CBC to keep jPOD going. However, the run by the Canadians should have offset this.

Never heard anything about pressure from the Chinese. I doubt they would even notice what programming was coming from CBC. They have bigger fish to fry.
