Great story, workman-like directorial style, no memorable scenes, and a melodramatic climax. An entertaining but forgettable flick, if not for the fact that it won Best Picture and was part of Ben Affleck's brief redemption arc.

I thought it was well done on one level. What I didn't like was how they exaggerated the scenes so it's so over-the-top unbelievable. E.g. when they take off followed by the fanatics shouting and shooting at the plane. Getting planes tickets booked at the moment they check in, etc. If they wanted to use that much "artistic" license I would have, to make a point about the present end with the plane. Ladies and gentlemen we're now out of Iran airspace. To celebrate we're offering complementary Putin tea--DOH!
