Sigh....ups and downs, but at the end...what is the point?

It almost seems the maxim of how imitation is the most sincere form of flattery is too often present in filmmaking.

This flick seems to be a cut from the Fargo/Cohen Brothers mold - violence, sarcastic humor, irony, and period timepiece.

I'm kind of still trying to figure out what the storytellers are trying to tell viewers for two hours. It's not that the movie is hard to follow but at the end of it you kind of ask, what's the point of spending two hours watching this?

I might have to check it out. If it at least strives for a Coen Bros level of storytelling then there might be more to it. Unlike Noah Hawley's retread/remake of Coen Bros "Fargo" a la his tv series.

I just looked up showtimes and it's actually playing at a Drive-in in my area LOL
