shareOn the American DVD, but strangely enough, not the UK one, you can watch an alternate version of the opening of the film, basically the entire section of the movie that takes place before she is in England. It is quite a bit longer and really goes a long way toward explaining Poppy's character and her relationships. It actually makes Poppy seem a lot more sympathetic. And yes, Roddy is Poppy's boyfriend.

guys i dont think it was poppys boyfriend, even before poppy found out ruby was being a "fake friend" to her on the last call that night before the fire, poppy didnt seem shocked when ruby ditched her to continue to talk to roddy she is just mad that ruby ditched her...but as you kno if roddy was poppys boyfriend she shuld just try and hook up with freddie and she never mentioned she had a boyfriend...for my opinion i dont think roddy was her boyfriend
