Poppy's sister

In the beginning when Poppy gets sent to boarding school, her sister asks who is going to cut the crusts off her sandwiches for her. The sister looks like she's about 12-14, I don't know about anyone else but I could cut the crusts off my own sandwiches by the time I was 7, and didn't need them cut off much later. Is it just me, or did it kind of seem like the girl they cast was about 5 years too old for the part?

I think that line was to emphasise how close the sisters' relationship with each other was. They love each other and depend on each other so much. The crust-cutting is simply a metaphor to represent that.

I agree. I think Poppy did that to show her love for her sister. Also, as a step in mother figure. I don't think it's because she couldn't do it. Then again, did you see her sandwich. It looked like a 5 year old made it. And cut it for that matter.

That kid was pretty smart. She had Ruby all figured out wayyy before poppy realised what a biatch she was.

I have a brother who is 9 (I am 20) who I love very much. We have a good relationships like any other siblings. We have fun togheter, we play videogames and we fight to.
Sometimes he just comes to me and sit in my knee and wants a hug. Another time he trows snowballs in my face.
Sometimes he wants me to tie his shoelaces even though he can do it for himself, and learned it when he was like 6 years old.

Its just how siblings act. Sometimes we want our big brothers or sisters to take care of us. I still gets a little bit younger in the way I act when I'm with my 4 year older big brother too.

(oh, and I'm from Sweden so sorry if my english sometimes sucks)
