Freddie's car

Am I the only person that thought it was weird that Freddie let Poppy drive his vintage car in a country she wasn't used to driving in, when she wouldn't have been insured? lol.

reply

Never noticed it, but yeah. That's a little weird. It was a manual, too, if I remember right. Shifting is hard enough for me as a teenager to learn, but if the gear shift was on the opposite side of the car? No one would ever drive with me on the road again.

How was your Limburger, Miss?

Salty as a ripe stinking bishop.

There was a quick shot showing Poppy pushing the clutch while Freddie shifted the gears. Besides, she was driving on a two-lane blacktop in the middle of nowhere so there wasn't much danger. It's not that difficult to learn to drive on the other side of the road than you are used to.

I have this gift, I can smell a lie.

If she has a valid driving licence, she would be allowed to drive in britain for 1 year (then she would have to get a UK license) and usually, most insurances are ok if somebody other than the insurance holder drives the car. (Otherwise, if i turn my ankle while hiking with a friend, he wouldn´t beallowed to drive my car back, which would be stupid)

reply

That's because it's the car that's insured, not the driver.
