His radio show was also on live from Detroit on MSNBC from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. On 9/11/01 he was pre-empted for news and is still waiting for the news to be over.

They're popular because people are curious about death and what happens afterward.

His books are very powerful to some. I read TFPYMIH after my Mom died and I was very moved. When I read For One More Day I just sobbed - I'd love one more day with Mom - though I'd likely cry the whole time.

Path. Follow path. Gate. Open gate, through gate, close gate. Last ferry 6.30, so run, run, run.

A lot of people like his books--I don't, but I'm pretty picky about those types of things. They are, to me, "sappy" as a previous poster put it. But they do sell well and are enjoyed by a lot of people.

I like his radio show though--he has pretty good commentary on sports issues and news.

Steve, you're right, 'The Fab 5' is laugh-out-loud funny at times. Every college basketball fan should be required to read it. My favorite part was when Webber and Howard were dissing on the Cincinnati Bearcat. "We just spent an hour going over our scouting report, and your name didn't come up once."
