Lovely story and a profound message

After seeing all the threads of "fell asleep" and "watching the paint dry", I really felt that I wanted to express my opinion too. To me this is a very heartfelt spiritual journey that makes you re-evaluate your own life and the truly meaningful relationships/events of it (that you sometimes missed or failed and still, there is alway forgiveness and a way to change things). I am a big fan of Mitch Albom and really enjoyed the book. As in most cases, the book IS better than the movie, however the latter was well done too. I also loved Eleln Burnstyn's performance, she is a very talented actress and also from Detroit, Albom's hometown. Must have been around my grandma's age (70) when she took the part and did a delightful job.
If you liked "Tuesdays with Morrie" you will most definitely enjoy this one. If you find it too slow and boring, then you probably weren't the target audience the film was intended for anyway.
