I dont say I want they do something like that, but even the criminal (Valka) was nice with the girl.
Maybe one of more of them trying or at least thinking about making something bad will be more real on the circunstances they lived.
Probably they were caught up with the thought of freedom or getting the hell out of there. Or, they were not physically fit to think for that back then. I mean, a long walk can absorb all of your energy.

Other than that seemed almost a joy to have a young fresh person in the bunch. Just as they were crossing the desert, they had respect for her. Very well handled, not to mention if they did-she would become pregnant and slow them down or just leave her but they seemed to have more morals. The other guy, l missed the connection but the one guy seemed to treat her like a sister.

It's a stupid question, based on the modern assumption that all men are potentially rapists. In reality, if a young woman fell in with a half dozen men, it is most likely that none of them would attack her. Most men are not rapists.

I mean if you started the movie up to the part before they met her, then left your seat and made a phone call, ran an errand, etc. then got back to the movie after she died, you wouldn't have even known she was there.
