At it's heart there is an interesting mystery but it's surrounded, saturated, and padded by poor writing, bad acting, cliches atop cliches, and questionable casting; not to mention choppy editing. And despite obvious multicultural PC casting, everyone is pretty and fit.

Significant events happen in episode 1 that set up and give clues to Pandora's past, so significant they should be a matter of planetary security. You would expect that Pandora would be taken into custody and interrogated and studied but in episode 2 they are never mentioned. Also students can grab spaceships and travel to other planets, infiltrating secure areas and threatening planetary leaders with no consequence. It's dumb. I'll give it a few more episodes but even by CW standards this isn't good.
