I remember watching this one night - during the beginning of the movie when Sarah kinda hits cooper with her car, there is some dialog between them; he asks for her number, etc... But now when I watch it, this whole seen has been removed. Why?

Probably cut for time so they can add more commercials, which is why I hate watching movies on TV. I prefer the DVD anyway, where nothing is cut. Yes, I'm saying the movie is more fun with the dirty language and boobies.

Weird thing is, I've got the DVD and it doesn't have the opening scene either.

that scene was moved to later on in the movie she almost hits him with the car then he walks to work without talking to her...then later .. he's asleep and dreams about the part where he askes her for her phone number.

dunno if they originally had it in the begining of the movie or if they moved it for some reason ?!?!?!

Pretty sure it was originally where I thought it was; if you remember when he was walking into the office, he mentioned to one of the girls who asked him why he was late that he just met his future wife.

yea me too. I saw this movie a year or two ago and as I recall thats the way it was then...all in the begining in one scene..but when I watched it last night that small scene was moved to much later in the movie

Not sure if it's meant to be this way in the original, but I watched it an hour ago, and that scene happens later on.
At the start of the film he gets tapped by the car, he goes into the office, someone ask 'why are you late' and he replies 'I just met my future wife' he says it very tongue in cheek almost as if he is being a smart arse, not wanting to say 'I slept in again'

Then after he saves Sarah he is asking how he knows her / she looks familiar (this question is asked a few times) then after they start falling for each other he remembers it was her that hit him with the car, it's a way of showing that even without the bugs, these to were pretty much meant to be.
Again not sure how it is originally but this way makes a lot more sense.

Watching it now in WA-it's not unusual for films to be re edited by their makers (there's no really definitive cut for 'Close Encounters' for example), it's much rarer for low budget films that don't have much extra footage or time to work with.
