Huge letdown.........SPOIL ER

The whole movie I wanted for Fasbender to get on a murderous spree like Luke Evans in No one lives. Very disappointing ending for me. This does not make it a bad movie, no, I just hated the kids so badly that I wanted to watch them die. I just finished watching the movie and for the first time I wanted it to be a rip off and end like I spit on your grave. I HATE THOSE *beep* KIDS!!!!!

You should see the movie 'Funny Games'. That may change your perspective on wanting to see violence answered with violence.

I didn't wanna see violence answered with violence, I just wanted to see their deeds answered for (jail). The movie ends with the kid watching himself in the mirror becoming his own father. I think the best posible twist at the end would be if we saw that the couple was the Punishers brother and sister in law, or sister and brother in law. Now that would be satisfying, even though we wouldn't see what will happen... (joking ofcourse)

reply

Well if you think about it, they would not have been able to cover up what happened and a police investigation would quickly and easily piece all the evidence together.

"I didn't wanna see violence answered with violence"
You did say "murderous spree".

Andskotinn!

reply

The "murderous spree" part I posted just as the movie ended, so I was still a bit worked up :). But seriously, did you not want for the kids to meet their maker?

reply

Definitely was a hard movie to watch.
I don't need to see it again.

reply

Ooh! Thank you Capt, you've now made me feel better.

I 100% agree. I was waiting for the couple to fight back. Not even like no one lives. Cause that dude is a badass. But i kept waiting for the tables to get turned on them. So she got a couple on the way out, not very satisfying. The ending was terrible as well. Another 10mins could of maybe made it alright.

I KNOW, I'm so glad I read the ending first! Horrible movie. And no, Cpt, movies like "I Spit on your Grave" show that some manner of violence is justice for monsters.

reply

I for one don't watch horror flicks for redeeming moral values.

reply

I don't take the message of films like this, Last House on the Left, or I Spit on your Grave is JUST trying to say that violence is justified when you cross paths with violent monsters. These (exploitation) films are more of a study in how a normal person who under different circumstances would never use violence are FORCED to use it to defend themselves. Sure revenge is still the purpose of the movie, BUT that an emotion of feeling wronged and wanting to get even. But survival is an instinct,an instinct so primal it functions the same way in a humans brain as it does with an animal.

reply

You don't seem very smart.

Ouch burn!
