(SPOILER) What was the box suppose to do and

I'm guessing it was evil embodied (kind of like the 'skin' in Peter O' Toole's "Phantoms"). And since temptation is a kind of evil, then I would think the dog would be effected too.



School's for people who are boring and ugly and serious. And you, button, are none of those.

Dogs are dumb, so I'm sure there was a forbidden but ultra tasty bacon or other treat in there.

I thought it killed the Dog. Am I wrong? After it cried and the box went through the ground you see a furry thing that looks burned up to the right of it.
