one thing that really bothered me...

Besides the movie pretty much lacking a plot, or at least an interesting one, the one thing that reeeally bothered me was the fact the the dad did not hold/interact with/acknowledge baby sarah at all! I thought it was going to be a minor plotline that he did not want anymore kids and did not show much interest in the baby and that in the end it would show him holding her or giving her some attention at least. As far as I can remember he didn't at all during the movie, did anyone else think this was strange?

I agree with you, it was sort of strange that no one besides Jenny and Theresa were paying attention to Sarah but also at the beginning of the movie Jenny says that Sarah knows her best and maybe Oliver was too busy to spend time with his daughter although at one point in the movie he does kiss her on her forehead.

This movie was so bizarre. They had too many things going on but didn't flesh them out well at all. It was so one dimensional. Everything seemed fake, especially the relationship with the baby.

I think it was strange that they would even write a baby into this movie. Once they found the new au pair, you never even really saw the baby again until the end of the movie. I mean they were on vacation....a family one at that, did they even really need to hire an au pair for the baby? I was thinking out loud what happened to Sarah when the finally showed her again towards the end.

WEll I remember thinking when the movie began if they had children for to me a love like theirs you would think they would have had a child after 8 yrs of marriage. I was surprized the baby was only like less than a yr old. I would have expected them to have a child within like 3 yrs after marriage so the child would be 5 now but i bet they said they didnt want to have to bother with a child that young for the movie so they had to make her young. BUt I would have been disapointed if they didnt have a child together at all. But everyone is right I didnt even think about how he didnt do much with the baby but he doest mention her name a few times when he said his business is for all his children.

I agree the baby thing was weird, but I think that whoever played Jenny was actually pregnant at the time, so they probably wrote in a baby at the last second so her "bump" looked more like she needed to lose some baby weight.

I thought that throughout the movie with so of her clothing choices and the way she'd sit or have an arm crossed over her, plus at the end of the movie, she's the only one that didn't jump into the pool. I thought all that might have to do with her being pregnant.

The one thing that bothered me besides the baby, was Katie's awful overbite! Her teeth looked bad. You'd think if this Caldwell family is so rich and powerful and needs bodyguards, they could have afforded braces at some point in that kids life!

Katie had braces in the 2nd Au Pair movie... I doubt it was just for the movie but I guess you never know.

The dad completely hated that baby. It probably wasn't his; hence the very strong feeling.

I thought this intriguing backstory should have been fleshed out a bit. If the mom, dad, baby & au pair had some kind of murder rampage in the bedroom while the kids & their dates were going each other hormones raging in the den, it could have been a classic.
