Yes, it was. A neglectful father who is also a criminal with no morals. He is ashamed and embarrassed of his son, regards him as a 'punishment' for his life. But does he change his life? No. He takes his son, and makes him part of a criminal act, and then hugs him goodbye before getting on the bus and out of his father's life.

Brutal. All the conmen, and woman, these are not good people that one would want in their life. They are liars and j@ck@$$es, grifting their way through VFW casino bbqs, and $5 poker games. Using the Down's Syndrome kid for the con is like an atrocious 'Rain Man' ripoff intentionally turned into a bad movie.

Great cast, though, all pros who upgraded an unwatchable movie to only brutal.

So you don't like character studies? Not enough bang bangs and boom booms?
