Played it, beat it twice, like it but...**possible spoilers**

There are things that I miss in it. No sniper rifle. Can't upgrade the ship, or repaint it. The devices are awesome, the Leech Bomb is a lifesaver, but I really miss having a morphing weapon that you can level up and see the progression of the deadliness of the animals your enemies are morphed into. No wrench upgrading. The skins weren't all that great. And the game seemed to take less time to beat. The greatest improvement was the green winged glider for Clank, so much easier to use. Oh, and I really didn't like the tilt feature of the controller, so glad I messed up enough for it ask if I wanted to use the analog sticks And I also miss the Lock On mods

If anything, I think they included too much from the previous games. A lot of the "new" weapons are just renamed versions of what we'd seen before. I'm getting a bit concerned that the series's gameplay is getting stale, other than the weapon-upgrading and arena battles, Insomniac haven't really added any new significant elements to the gameplay since the original. Other than the prettier graphics, Tools of Destruction hasn't moved the series forward at all. Insomniac could learn from their own history, what made the second and third Spyro The Dragon games so brilliant was the variety: Ice Hockey, Skateboarding, Yeti Boxing, Saving turtles from being cooked in soup, riding a rollercoaster and popping balloons, riding a manta ray, all those additional playable characters with their own unique abilities. I miss these kind of mini-games that the Ratchet series has generally overlooked in favour of the weapons arsenal.

Still a huge fan, but really hoping they are more ambitious and original next time round.
