At the end of the movie when Brian Krause's character is fighitng Father Sanchez (the evil priest) and hes gettin hurt.. I know he gets the stake or nail thrrugh his hand then falls to the ground, and I dont remmember what happened after that. DOes he get killed?? Because when the girl is in the insane asylum at the end, they say they found her next to a dead priest.. they just dont say which priest! I only question it because why woulndt he denfedher if he knew she wasnt craZy. If anyone knows please let me know thanks so much!

it was the other preist that they found her by father sanchez left when dominiq i think thats how you spell her name anyways he left when she told the other preist to let her go

So what happened to the "good" priest?

And they never showed how Dominique ended up insane ... She was 100% sane throughout the entire movie. She knew what was going on. She was the only sane person in that movie ...
You don't just end up crazy.
Maybe people thought she killed the priest? No idea ...

The reason I'm wondering what happened is because when they showed her at the end, she was acting completely "batty" - like she really had gone crazy. I found it hard to believe.

Predictible movie .... with a VERY confusing ending.

just watched it. at the very end, after the mother says they found her next to a dead preist, alexz says the book killed the kids at school and father mulligan...that's brian krause's character so he did die. i was semi dissappointed with this film, but it could have been worse.

I think what happened was that the police must thought Dominique insane, because she kept talking about the book and how its evil had killed the school kids and Father Mulligan, but we all know that she wasn't.

I found it a disappointing ending, I'd have rather the film ended once Dominique had torn out the pages of the diary and killed Georgia.

The ending is quite downbeat because it just means that the diary's evil is going to continue forever. I suppose it also sets the movie up for a sequel though, lol.

yeah...i'm actually writing the sequel for Creative Writing. I'm obsessed with this movie! haha.

but i don't want the sequel that i'm writing to be very predictable.

it follows the 2 boys that were in the graveyard.

i'm trying SO hard to not make this sequel like the first one.

if people could give me ideas that'd be great!

oh and Dominique will STILL be in it. I'm making her get released from the ayslum (sp?)...cause i think she totally wasn't crazy...i bet the police just thought she was crazy

I was kind of diappointed at the ending as well. The way it left off it could be a sequel. This ending kind of makes it seem evil aways wins. Just my 2 cents worth. overall good movie.

Did everybody seriously forget the part in the movie where they actually SAY OUT LOUD, "The book can not be destroyed"?

Isn't it obvious why Dominique went insane? Everyone else who believed in the book was either dead or totally freaked out, so she was the only one who kept on telling people about it. Also she just went through a traumatic experience, the whole scene in the graveyard with the two priests. And then staying in a mental asylum with everybody assuming that you're crazy would just help it along.

And the ending was good, it's like the end of jumanji, the book will never die... And Dominique freaking out like that was so good.

Alexz Johnson (Dominique) was so good in this movie, she pretty much made it worth watching. The best actress out of all the cast.

Yeah Alexz did a great job in this.I only hated how they left the movie as a cliffhanger,even though we know it's just going to happen again.I was shocked as hell how she ended up in an asylum.

Her mother told her that she's trying to get her out, but they're gonna keep her as long as keeps talking about the book.
She is sane, but everyone who knows she's sane is either dead, in the hospital, or to afraid to talk.

If your parents never had children,
chances are you won't either.
