The uknown fate of Dominique's soul.

Will Dominique go to hell? She freaked after she wrote in the book. It was supposedly an irreversible selling of the soul to write in it, correct? I know one of the priests (can't recall which one had the line) said "It's okay that you wrote in it." Was it forgiven because she did it in desperate self defense and didn't continue to utilize the power of the book, or is there no hope for her soul? That really wasn't fully explored. I'd really appreciate other perspectives on the matter.

I think she's safe.As far as they said,It was okay that she wrote in it,as long as she didn't give in to the power of the book like Ursula or Georgia did.I don't think she'd go to hell just for self-defence.If they make a second,I hope they do explore it a bit more.

no, self defense would have been saying 'oh i wish that he would get arrested before he comes in here' or some shorter version of that. nope. she said 'I wish he would die, die die!!' that sound like revenge and hate... not self defense.

Well the guy was trying to have sex with her (oh and kill her). I don't know what age she was in the movie but it probably wasn't the first time either. That makes him a pedophile and it's pretty darn hard not to hate a pedophile.

i dont think the devil is going to stop to think 'hmm. she only used my powers in self-defense... and for that ill let her go to heaven.'

the book said. who ever writes in it makes a contract with the devil. their soul for whatever they write.
