It just started on LMN, watchin' it right now...
"This scar is a fleck on my porcelain skin, tried to reach deep but you couldn't get in..."
Lifetime Movie Channel will air it again from 1 to 3 p.m. Central on Thursday, April 7.
I'm watching it now, as it's airing from 9 to 11 p.m. It's the first time I've seen it, and it does have some catchy quotations:
"I look like a slutty raccoon!"
"Y'know~I like it! It reminds me of those old movies in which nobody has sex!" (of guy's station wagon)
"Maybe there's a book in every grave. Yeah. Yeah. Like a Bible in every hotel room!"
(Forgive any oopses in quoting the lines. I'd need a second viewing to check the ones I jotted in my film journal.)
If you have LMN On Demand (free), it's one of their selections. I'm rewatching it now. I'm videotaping it just in case I want to check it out again. This is the sort of film that drops out of sight and can become one of many cult films.
I've seen so many movies that do this. Copies then seem to skyrocket in price. It seems that quality doesn't matter; some films seem to grab the interest and not let go.
It's strange that people attack movies on Lifetime, Sci Fi Channel, etc., because many of them are a lot like the old drive-in, B- to Z-run films that now are valued. Tarantino tried to capture "grindhouse", but they're being made correctly right now! He spends huge amounts of money and misses the mark.
