I thought the writing was funny and full of dark humour. A really strong and bleak critique of politics. Bullock was incredible in it, the rest of the cast was also very strong.
At the worst I would rate this movie a 7/10. How the hell is it sitting on 5.7?

shareIt's gone up since you posted this. I attribute it to the fact that it's user ratings and some are dramatic when rating. Their fave actors and films they automatically rate a 10 and ones they don't like a 1. I wonder if some actually rate without seeing the movie? Reading some posts on message boards, I wouldn't doubt it!
shareI like to think that many of the knee-jerk 1 and 10 votes are discounted in IMDb formula. I have to believe that. I'm very stingy with my 10s, and I give even fewer 1s. As for this, I gave it a 5/10 -- a bland execution of an important topic. Oddly enough, there's no way on IMDb to rate a film average (that would be 5.5), which is what I think this film most deserves.

People need to actually think through and research who they are behind and not just support them based on emotion.
